Money – Save money. Instead of paying an agency, AI can generate images for you.
Time – Save time. Sometimes it is faster to generate/edit an image using AI compared to using image editing software.
Simplicity – An easy way to get new images.
Unique images – Relatively unique images, compared to stock photos. Warning about AI slop: However, you need to make sure that overly generic images are not generated.
Quality – If the prompt and/or the AI model is poor (or if you're simply unlucky), the image may contain distracting errors or be of generally low quality. However, image generation technology is advancing rapidly.
Brand – Some people become upset and object when they hear that companies use AI to generate images. Questions worth considering:
Is this a temporary phenomenon that will soon pass?
Does it depend on how the image was created?
Does it depend on how or when the image is used?
Start a new chat in ChatGPT.
Tell ChatGPT that you want it to generate an image for you (or select "Create image" from the drop-down menu next to the input field).
Describe the image you want. Tip: Use English.
ChatGPT will now begin generating the image. Be patient.
If you've waited a minute or so and nothing seems to be happening, click ↻ Reload in your browser to reload the page. You'll then see whether the image has finished generating.
If you're not happy with the image, tell ChatGPT what you'd like it to change (or click "Edit" within the image and pin comments with instructions at the exact locations you want to modify).
